The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department is organizing swim lessons for children aged three and above. These sessions will be held at various locations, including Bishop Park, Heard Park, Howard Park, Lay Park, and Memorial Park pools. The program includes "Swim School" and "Parent/Tot Swim School," with a session fee of $33 for residents of Athens-Clarke County and $50 for those residing outside the county.

Additionally, the department offers a free Kinderswim program aimed at teaching local five-year-old children how to swim. This initiative provides nine lessons spread over three weeks, with each week consisting of three 45-minute classes. The program is accessible at all department-managed pools.

Interested participants can register online through the website www.accgov.com/myrec. Scholarships are available for eligible residents within Athens-Clarke County; further details can be found at www.accgov.com/scholarship.

For additional information or inquiries, individuals can contact via email at accaquatics@accgov.com or by phone at 706-613-3589. More details are also available on their website www.accgov.com/aquatics.
