Athens Wine Weekend returns with local restaurant participation

The Athens Wine Weekend is set to return to The Classic Center from February 7-9. This event will feature wine tastings, culinary experiences, seminars, a Grand Tasting event, and a sparkling brunch.

The weekend kicks off on Friday, February 7, with an Amuse-Bouche event showcasing chefs from local Athens restaurants. Each chef will present a dish paired with wine. Participating restaurants include Five and Ten, Pretty Boy, George’s Lowcountry Table, Levy Restaurants, Chops & Hops, South Kitchen + Bar, and The Pine Bar.

"The mission of The Classic Center Cultural Foundation is to provide resources to entertain and educate the local community and foster economic growth by providing and supporting diverse performing, visual, and culinary arts programs," states the foundation's mission statement. It also aims to support workforce development initiatives while maintaining The Classic Center in top condition.
