Activities lineup for Megan Moroney's concert weekend in Athens, GA

A weekend of festivities is set to take place in Athens, Georgia, as Megan Moroney's "Am I Okay?" tour arrives in town. The concert will be held at Akins Ford Arena, with numerous events happening around the city to capture the spirit of the tour.

Central to the weekend's activities is the Party on the Plaza, presented by White Claw on April 4 and 5. This event will feature live music, early access to Megan Moroney merchandise, and a pre-show celebration. Taking place on the Paul M. Cramer Plaza at 130 Foundry St, the party will begin at 5:00 p.m. Food and beverages, including White Claw, Miller Lite, and Terrapin beer, will be available for purchase. No tickets are necessary to attend the plaza festivities.

In addition to the concert, Visit Athens GA has curated a special visitor’s map showcasing Megan Moroney's favorite locales in Athens, alongside businesses participating in the festivities. Downtown Athens shoppers can visit Fab'rik to collect custom buttons featuring lyrics from Moroney's songs and capture photos at the in-store photo station.

The community and local businesses are uniting for the occasion. Several hotels, including the Holiday Inn, Hyatt Place Athens/Downtown, Hotel Indigo, and Springhill Suites Downtown, are integrating special blue-themed decor in celebration. Bonuses include live music, local giveaways, and other experiences found across Athens during the weekend.

Akins Ford Arena plays a significant role in Athens' economic, entertainment, and cultural life. The venue hosts various events such as conventions, concerts, family shows, and sports tournaments, accommodating up to 8,500 guests. Aligned with The Classic Center campus, Akins Ford Arena is committed to delivering quality entertainment and a superior experience for visitors.
