Project Safe announces cast for Dancing with the Athens Stars fundraiser

Project Safe has announced the lineup for its 2025 Dancing with the Athens Stars event, an annual fundraiser where local celebrities team up with dance instructors to compete for several awards. The event is scheduled for March 15, 2025, at The Classic Center Theatre in Athens, Georgia.

Participants will vie for three awards: Judges’ Favorite, Community Favorite (most tickets sold), and Audience Favorite (most funds raised). Supporters can vote for their preferred team or purchase tickets through Project Safe's website.

The competing teams include:

- Team 2: Adrian Prelipceanu & Rachel Rickard

- Team 3: Micah Redman & Eva Redman

- Team 4: Joey Tucker & Natalie Cox

- Team 5: Eric Linder & Catherine Huff

- Team 6: Marisa Leilani Mustard & Ali Hall

- Team 7: Marcia Hector & Christopher Weaver

- Team 8: Suki Janssen & Malory Ware

- Team 9: Jennifer Zwirn & Kaitlin Butcher

- Team 10: Tikica Platt & Jeff Chen

- Team 11: Allison Perfetti & Allison Smith

Joan Prittie, Executive Director of Project Safe, stated that "Dancing with the Athens Stars is one of the most positive and uplifting nights in Athens. Not only are the dance performances highly entertaining, but the reason why folks are dancing permeates the evening. Over the years, this event has transformed our organization and saved and changed thousands of lives as a result."

Project Safe is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending domestic violence through crisis intervention, supportive services, advocacy for systemic change, prevention efforts, and education. While primarily serving Madison County, Oconee County, Clarke County, and Oglethorpe County in Georgia, it also provides assistance statewide.
