Madison County High School in Madison County welcomed most students in 2022-23 school year

Madison County High School had the highest enrollment among Madison County schools, welcoming 1,402 students during the 2022-23 school year, according to the Georgia Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 52% of them were male, and 48% were female.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 66% of the Madison County High School total enrollment.

Among the seven schools in Madison County, Madison County Middle School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 1,187 students, while Hull-Sanford Elementary School welcomed 519 students to be ranked third in the 2022-23 school year.

Madison County High School is part of Madison County School District, which generally encompasses schools within Madison County, with its main office in Danielsville.

In the previous school year, Madison County High School also had the highest number of students among Madison County schools.

As of 2024, Georgia has an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:15, which is better than the national average of 1:16. The state has its best student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1 in pre-kindergarten and middle school grades, while high school has an average ratio of 17:1.
