Applications are now open for the 2025-2026 LEAD Athens program, an initiative led by the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce. The program aims to develop effective leaders dedicated to building a vibrant community through personal and professional development opportunities.

LEAD Athens is a year-long program providing an extensive curriculum including economic development, local industry, health care, government, secondary and higher education, and the arts. Participants will engage in monthly sessions and community leadership activities to understand current issues and future challenges.

Key dates for the application process include the submission deadline on Monday, April 14, 2025, at 5:00 pm EST. Applications must be submitted electronically, and letters of recommendation should be emailed. Notifications of program acceptance will be issued on Thursday, May 15, 2025. The deadline for program commitment and tuition is Thursday, May 30, 2025. Participants can inquire about tuition payment plans by contacting david.bradley@athensga.com.
