Three sophomores from the Jackson County School System have been selected to attend the Governor's Honors Program (GHP) this summer. Dominic Miller from East Jackson High School, along with Brayden Sabin and Charlie Hansen from Jackson County High School, will represent the music category at the 2025 GHP event, which is set to take place at Georgia Southern University.

The Governor's Honors Program offers a unique educational experience that differs significantly from typical high school classrooms. It aims to provide students with academic, cultural, and social enrichment necessary for developing into global thinkers, innovators, and leaders.

Scheduled to run from mid-June to mid-July, the program involves students attending classes in their specific content areas during both morning and afternoon sessions.
