The Jackson County School System has revealed the winners of its district-level Young Georgia Authors Competition. Thirteen students have been selected to represent their district in the state competition.
The Young Georgia Authors Competition is a statewide initiative that encourages students to showcase their writing skills through various literary pieces. The following are the Jackson County School System's winners:
Hudson Eilts from Kindergarten and Adelynn Pack from First grade, both representing Gum Springs Elementary School; Nova Tucker, a Second grader at East Jackson Elementary School; Charlotte Fears in Third grade and Mattox Jeffers in Fourth grade, also from Gum Springs Elementary School; Vera Mae Wood from Fifth grade at East Jackson Elementary School; TJ Hart, a Sixth grader at East Jackson Middle School; Lylah Green in Seventh grade and Emery Malone in Eighth grade, both from West Jackson Middle School; Aspen Kong from Ninth grade, Rachel Bowman from Tenth grade, Serenity Aguilar from Eleventh grade, and Sarai Hood from Twelfth grade, all attending East Jackson High School.
Each student will proceed to compete at the state level.
