The Gum Springs Elementary School LEGO Robotics team, known as the Gizmos, has been selected to compete in a national competition this summer in Massachusetts. The team secured sixth place in the state competition held on February 15 in Athens.
The Gizmos team is composed of Carson Powers, Rithvicka Purushothaman, Eliel Gutierrez Alvarez, Candler Chambers, Parker Hamrick, Liam Hildebrand, Azrael Bense, and Alessandra DeFuria. The team is coached by Haley Meier and Kasey Sheridan. They received the news of their qualification for the national competition on Tuesday.
