The LEGO Robotics team from Gum Springs Elementary School, known as the Gizmos, secured sixth place in the state competition that took place in Athens on Saturday. The team is awaiting news this week regarding their qualification for a national competition, which is expected to be held in Massachusetts.
The Gizmos' team members include Alessandra DeFuria, Eliel Gutierrez Alvarez, Carson Powers, Candler Chambers, Rithvika Purushothaman, Parker Hamrick, Azrael Bense, and Liam Hildebrand.
