The Jackson County School System has released the names of the Class of 2025 Valedictorians and Salutatorians for East Jackson High School and Jackson County High School.
Shane McAlister has been named Valedictorian for East Jackson, while Paisley Gillespie holds the title at Jackson County High School. Grecia Avellaneda-Castro is the Salutatorian for East Jackson, with Chloe Bradley taking the honor at Jackson County.
Both schools are scheduled to hold their Class of 2025 Commencement Ceremonies on Saturday, May 17, in the new Akins Ford Arena located in Athens.
