Jackson County High School senior Jamie Wood has been selected to join the National Youth Advisory Council for The Kroger Company's Zero Hunger | Zero Waste initiative. Wood is one of 15 students chosen nationwide for this role.

This spring, Wood will lead a Community Impact Project in Hoschton. As part of the project, Zero Hunger | Zero Waste will provide a micro-grant to collaborate with local nonprofits and support his efforts.

Students are chosen for the committee through an application process that highlights their dedication to addressing issues such as hunger, climate change, responsible consumption, and recycling.
