The Jackson County School System (JCSS) has announced the closure of all schools and offices on Friday, January 10, due to forecasted inclement weather. This decision affects not only the academic schedule but also extracurricular events planned for both Friday and Saturday, January 11. These events have been postponed as a precautionary measure.

A spokesperson for JCSS stated, "We hope our students and staff have a safe weekend as the winter weather impacts our community."

The school system is prioritizing safety in light of the anticipated winter conditions that could pose risks to transportation and activities. Families and staff are advised to stay informed about any further updates regarding school operations.
