The Athens-Clarke County Solid Waste Department will suspend compost, garbage, recycling, and leaf & limb collections on Thursday, July 4th, 2024, in recognition of the Fourth of July holiday.
For customers with commercial or residential service within the Downtown District, service will follow the regular schedule.
For those with residential and commercial services outside of downtown, the pick-up schedule is as follows: Monday's collection will occur on Monday; Tuesday's collection on Tuesday; Wednesday's collection on Wednesday; and both Thursday and Friday's collections will be completed on Friday. Normal pickup schedules will resume on Monday, July 8th, 2024. Customers are reminded to place their trash and recycling roll-carts at the curb by 7:00 AM on their designated pick-up day.
