The Athens-Clarke County Solid Waste Department will suspend compost, garbage, recycling, and leaf & limb collections on Wednesday, June 19th, 2024, in recognition of the Juneteenth Holiday.
"If you have commercial or residential service with us and are located within the Downtown District your service will be picked on the regular schedule."
For those with residential and commercial services outside of downtown, the pick-up schedule will be adjusted as follows: Monday's collection remains on Monday; Tuesday's collection remains on Tuesday; Wednesday's collection will occur on Thursday; Thursday and Friday collections remain unchanged. The normal pickup schedule will resume on Monday, June 24th, 2024.
"Please make sure your trash and recycling roll-carts are out on the curb by 7:00 AM on your service pick up day."
