Notice to Business Owners Regarding Oconee County Sales Tax Rate Change

Dear Business Owner: 

The purpose of this notice is to inform you that the Oconee County sales tax rate will be increasing from 7% to 8% effective April 1, 2023.  

 On November 8th, 2022, the TSPLOST referendum was approved by Oconee County voters.  TSPLOST is a one-percent Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales and Use Tax that will be used exclusively for transportation purposes.

For up-to-date sales and use tax rates and jurisdiction reporting codes, please visit the sales tax rate charts located on the Georgia Department of Revenue’s website.
