The Athens-Clarke County Unified Government is seeking Requests for Proposals (RFP) from vendors to provide a defined use and lease of the Taylor-Grady House located at 634 Prince Avenue in Athens, Georgia. The contract period is from the dates of award until June 30, 2024 with an option for additional one-year terms as agreed upon by both parties.
ACCGov seeks a visionary, yet achievable, plan for operational use of the historic Taylor-Grady House as an event facility, office space, museum, or community center that maintains, even highlights, the building’s architectural and cultural significance by display of period-appropriate furniture, textiles, and artifacts. The main building has 12,320 square feet.
The building is historic by official designation and in character, and must be maintained as such. All associated utility costs (i.e., water, sewer, electricity, gas, telephone, storm water, solid waste, security alarm systems, computer network, custodial services, etc.) will be the responsibility of the tenant.
Facilities maintenance services and landscape maintenance services are provided by ACCGov. ACCGov shall be responsible for all costs of maintenance and repair of electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, fire safety devices, graffiti removal, and sewer lines. In addition, ACCGov will be responsible for general landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, maintenance of plant material, pruning, etc.
