Prince Avenue Christian School recognizes the important role that our competent and qualified staff plays in our school community. Through the support of a generous donor, Prince recognizes one member of the staff each year with the Servant’s Heart Award.
Using an acronym for the word HEART, the recipient of this award is acknowledged for his or her humility, encouragement, authenticity, responsibility, and trustworthiness. This year’s Servant’s Heart Award was given to Kathy Stamey.
Mrs. Stamey began her career at PACS in 2009 as a substitute teacher. By the next school year, she had accepted her current role as Substitute Coordinator and Education Support Service Testing Coordinator. In these roles, Kathy is responsible for ensuring that each classroom or office that needs a substitute is covered with qualified personnel and lesson plans. In the Learning Center, she schedules and proctors tests for those students receiving testing services.
Mrs. Stamey is described by her peers as selfless, generous, and dedicated. “Her tireless work benefits the entire school including faculty, staff, students, and parents. She is always ready and willing to help, no matter the time of day.”
Mrs. Stamey says that Prince is a wonderful place to work. “It is blessing to know I am working with Christians who love and care for each other. If I have a need, I can share and know my co-workers will pray for me and take me to the scripture. I’m so thankful that God has allowed me to work at Prince these past years and look forward to the years to come.”
