Of the 399 people living in Maxeys in 2020, 60.7 percent (242) were women and 39.3 percent (157) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Athens Reporter.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 33. In the 65 and over age range, there were 93 females and 14 males.
