County of Oconee issued the following announcement on Nov. 19.
Oconee County Chairman John Daniell recently presented a proclamation recognizing Sunday, November 7, 2021, as “Retired Educators Day” to Georgia Retired Educators Association members Wilhelmina M. Bowles, Jackie Thomason, Ida Scotland-Jenkins, and Linda Fair. The Retired Educators of Georgia collectively donate thousands of hours of volunteer service, and their contributions to the community are invaluable. Oconee County salutes these tireless individuals and thanks each and every one for their dedication to the young people of Oconee County and the state of Georgia.
