The University of Georgia announced on April 17 that it will host its inaugural UGA Well-Being Fair for faculty and staff on April 29 at the Tate Student Center Grand Hall.
The event is intended to help employees focus on their overall well-being, including mental clarity, physical health, financial confidence, and community connection. Organizers say the fair supports a whole-person approach by offering practical tools and resources from campus and local partners.
Attendees can participate in activities such as biometric and blood pressure screenings, mini information sessions held every 15 minutes, live cooking demonstrations, interactive resource tables, chair massages, giveaways, a blood drive, and opportunities to donate to the UGA Student Pantry. The fair is designed as a drop-in experience so employees can visit briefly or stay longer based on their schedules.
“The Well-Being Fair provides faculty and staff with a valuable opportunity to connect with campus partners and explore resources that support their growth and overall well-being,” said Juanita W. Hicks, vice president and chief human resources officer.
While general registration is not required for entry to the event, appointments must be scheduled in advance for biometric screenings and blood donations due to limited space. Employees are encouraged to coordinate attendance with their supervisors as needed. More information about the event can be found on the official event page or by joining the well-being listserv via email.
