UGA team places in top 10 percent at Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition

The University of Georgia School of Law announced on Apr. 17 that its student team finished in the top 10 percent globally at the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, which took place at the end of March in Washington, D.C. The team, consisting of second-year students Emma R. Hopkins, Jacob S. Levy, Lionel A. Rubio and Nathan C. Whisamore, along with third-year student Morgan E. Pfohl, advanced to the international rounds after competing against nearly 800 teams worldwide.

Fewer than 200 teams move on to these international rounds each year, highlighting the significance of UGA’s achievement among law schools globally.

The group was coached by third-year student F. Marion Kronauge and alumni coach Caleb Grant (J.D.’23), as well as Associate Director Taher Benany from the Dean Rusk International Law Center.
