UGA law students win regional mock trial championship, advance to nationals

A team of law students from the University of Georgia School of Law has won the regional championship at the All-Star Bracket Challenge mock trial competition. The winning team consists of third-year students Maya E.M. Davis, Kaylah J. Holmes, and Eric Narbo, along with second-year student Naryan C. Parimi. Alumni Jonathan Stuart (J.D.’16) and Whitney Stuart (J.D.’15) served as coaches for the team.

Following their regional victory, the team will advance to the national competition in San Antonio in November.

Another group of third-year UGA law students—Andrea D. Bell, Nicole P. Golson, Rosalie J. Vendrell, and Carrington S. Wilkes—also participated in the tournament. This second team went undefeated during the preliminary rounds. Carrington S. Wilkes received recognition as Outstanding Advocate. B. Elizabeth “Liz” Tarver (J.D.’18) coached this group.
