Jackson County High School junior Joyce Dushime has been appointed to the National Mental Health Youth Advisory Council as part of Creative Visions' #CreateConnectCare campaign. This initiative aims to encourage young people to use storytelling and creative expression to promote mental health and well-being among youth.

Dushime is one of 17 students selected nationwide for this council. Her role will involve leading a community impact project designed to raise awareness and motivate peers to contribute creative expressions to the #CreateConnectCare campaign. Each council member, including Dushime, will receive a $250 micro-grant from Creative Visions to support their community project.
