Athens-Clarke County Courthouse closes for non-essential operations on January 22

The Athens-Clarke County Government (ACCGov) and the Courthouse will be closed for non-essential operations on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Despite the closure, court filings can still be submitted remotely through designated online platforms.

For civil cases, individuals can file at www.peachcourt.com, while criminal case filings can be done at www.ez-filing.net/Georgia. Juvenile Court after-hours procedures involving CHINS, delinquency, and DFACS matters will continue as usual.

Municipal Court fines can be paid online at www.athensgatix.com or by calling toll-free at 1-855-873-9708. In case of emergency matters requiring court involvement or to speak with a court official urgently, contact Elisa Zarate, the Athens-Clarke County Clerk of Court, at 762-400-6488 or the Athens-Clarke County Sheriff's Department Courthouse Division at 706-613-3250.

Court deadlines set for Wednesday, January 22, 2025, are suspended and extended until Thursday, January 23, 2025.
