A portion of the Oconee Rivers Greenway near the Oconee Hill Cemetery will be closed to all traffic from January 22 to January 24. The closure is necessary for work being carried out in the area. During this period, the section will be inaccessible to ensure the safety of both trail users and workers.
Officials have urged the public not to attempt bypassing barricades or other safety measures put in place. Following the closure, there may be occasional motorized construction traffic on nearby sections of the trail. All such traffic will be flagged, and it is advised that all indicated safety procedures are followed.
