Athens-Clarke County's Leisure Services Department has announced the renewal of its scholarship program for residents under 18. The department is urging individuals with expired scholarships and new applicants to visit a facility office at least five business days before registering for any programs.

For those intending to use the scholarship for summer camp, applications must be submitted by February 28 to ensure timely processing. Scholarships are available at three levels: 25%, 50%, and 75%, with an annual cap of $400 per child.

Applicants are required to apply in person and must provide a recent utility bill, the most recent IRS Tax Form 1040 listing children, and a valid photo ID. Additionally, individuals who have not yet created an online registration account can do so at www.accgov.com/myrec before applying for the scholarship.

Further information is available by calling 706-613-3800 or visiting www.accgov.com/scholarship.
