Animal Services will close its Adoption Center on January 1, with regular hours resuming the following day. Field services will handle emergency calls only on January 1, covering situations like animal bites or severely injured animals, and can be reached by calling 911.
Leisure Services facilities will also be closed on January 1, but parks will open from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Normal operating hours for both facilities and parks resume on January 2.
Solid Waste services for residential and commercial customers outside the Downtown district will not operate on January 1. For that week, Monday and Tuesday collections remain unchanged, while Wednesday's collection shifts to Thursday, and Thursday's collection moves to Friday. Garbage and recycling services inside the Downtown district follow the regular schedule.
Leaf & Limb collection will occur on December 30, December 31, January 2, and January 3 in specified areas. No collections are scheduled for January 1. The landfill closes on New Year's Day with normal operations resuming the next day. The CHaRM facility follows a similar closure pattern but reopens on January 3.
Transit services cease operations entirely on January 1 with offices reopening on January 2.
All general departmental administrative offices including City Hall and other government buildings will be closed for the holiday with regular hours starting again on January 2.
