The Jackson County Board of Education has unanimously appointed Ricky Sanders as the Chair for 2025. Lynne Massey-Wheeler will continue her role as Vice Chair.
Each December, the board votes on the positions of Chair and Vice Chair. Beau Hollett stepped down from his position as Chair after serving for two years, following a recent tradition in Jackson County.
Sanders is set to begin his duties as Chair at the Board of Education Work Session in January.
The Board of Education consists of five members who, along with the Superintendent, form the Governance Team. The current members are Lynne Massey-Wheeler, Rob Johnson, Beau Hollett, Ricky Sanders, and Melissa Mullen.
