Notice has been given that the computation and canvassing of votes for the November 5, 2024 General Election will commence on the same day at 7:30 PM. The process will take place at the Facilities and Landscape training room located at 2555 Lexington Road in Athens.
The procedure includes reconciling provisional ballots as per O.C.G.A. Sections 21-2-418 and 21-2-419. This ensures all ballots are counted and tabulated, including absentee ballots as specified in OCGA section 21-2-386 subparagraph (a)(1)(G). The computation and canvassing of provisional and absentee ballots will continue on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, starting at 10:00 AM at the Elections Department situated at 155 East Washington Street.
This process is open to public observation.
