The Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) has announced the availability of two funding opportunities from the Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County. These are the FY26 Community Partnerships Program and the FY25 Housing Counseling Programs. Applications for both programs will be open from October 23, 2024, to November 25, 2024.

The FY26 Community Partnerships Program offers up to $1,000,000 in general funds to support goals outlined in the FY23-25 Strategic Plan that benefit Athens-Clarke County residents. Eligible activities include neighborhood revitalization, poverty reduction, economic strength initiatives, and homeless services. The funds will be available for contracting from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026.

Additionally, up to $100,000 is available for the FY25 Housing Counseling Programs. This initiative aims to expand housing counseling services for renters and homeowners in alignment with strategic plan goals. The funds will cover a six-month contract period starting January 1, 2025, with an option to renew for FY26.

A virtual meeting will be held via WebEx on Wednesday, October 23 at 10:00 a.m., where eligible organizations can learn how to access these funds for community service and affordable housing priorities in Athens-Clarke County.
