The General Election on November 5, 2024, is approaching, and several important dates and details have been announced. Advance voting is available from October 15 to November 1 at various locations, though some early billboards incorrectly mentioned November 3 as the end date. These are being updated.

Advance voting on weekends is possible at specific sites like the Lyndon House Arts Center. The deadline for requesting absentee ballots is October 25. Absentee ballots must be received by the Athens-Clarke County Elections Department by the close of polls on Election Day.

Voters can find a composite sample ballot in English and Spanish online at www.accgov.com/elections. For district-specific information, they should visit www.mvp.sos.ga.gov.

Absentee voting requires an application submitted through multiple methods, including online or in person. More information is available at www.accgov.com/absenteevoting.

Advance voting will occur at six designated locations with varying times and days. It's important to note that advance voting does not take place at the Elections Department itself.

On Election Day, all precincts will be open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Voters in line by closing time will be allowed to vote. Those uncertain of their precinct can check their voter registration card or use resources like the My Voter Page on Georgia's Secretary of State's website.

A change has been made for Precinct 7A voters who will now cast their votes at Timothy Baptist Church instead of the previous location due to a requested change.

Spanish language ballots and accessible voting options are available for those who need them, ensuring inclusivity for all voters.

For further details or assistance, voters can visit www.accgov.com/elections or contact the Athens-Clarke County Elections Department directly.
