Due to the anticipated impact of Hurricane Helene, ACC Solid Waste has announced several service changes. The Athens-Clarke County Government (ACCGov) will be closed for non-emergency staff, including the Solid Waste Department, on Friday, September 27.
The landfill will delay its opening until 10 AM on Friday, September 27. Additionally, night collections in the Central Business District will be suspended after 10 PM on Thursday, September 26.
Trash and recycling collection services for commercial curbside, front-end loader, and roll-off containers will be determined on the morning of Friday, September 27.
