A section of the Oconee Rivers Greenway, under the North Oconee Access Road overpass, will be closed to all traffic while a new public artwork is installed: “Water is Life,” by Georgia artist Elaine Stephenson. Installation is scheduled to begin on August 22 with completion projected in mid-September.
During this period, all through traffic will be detoured around the work. The closed section of Greenway will be inaccessible for the safety of trail users and workers.
