Clarke County’s 17 coaches earned an average salary of $963,314 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the highest average salary per county earned by coaches at Georgia post-secondary schools during 2022.

Clarke County is home to just one post-secondary school which paid coaches during 2022.

Male coaches of men's teams received $1,840,286 on average in Clarke County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $349,434.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
