Public Review of FY25 AAP V Draft Announced in Athens-Clarke County

Athens-Clarke County Unified Government Housing and Community Development Department has announced the availability of the FY25 AAP V Draft for public review. The draft includes proposed activities for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Programs for the period of July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025.

As part of the review process, the Mayor and Commission are scheduled to hold public hearings on the proposed plan. According to the announcement, "The Mayor and Commission will receive resident comments on the proposed plan at public hearings on April 16, 2024 and May 7, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. in City Hall." Additionally, written public comments are encouraged and can be submitted to andrea.livingston@accgov.com at the Housing & Community Development Department. The period for submitting written comments is from April 22, 2024, through May 22, 2024.

Furthermore, for easy access, "An electronic copy of the DRAFT document is available on the Housing & Community Development website." Interested parties can access the document by visiting the site mentioned in the announcement.

In-person review of hard copies of the documents is also possible at specific locations in Athens, Georgia. The documents will be available for review at the Housing and Community Development Department located at 375 Satula Avenue and the East Athens Development Corporation at 410 McKinley Drive.

The public is encouraged to participate in the review process and provide feedback on the proposed activities outlined in the FY25 AAP V Draft.
