Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department is set to offer various swim programs for children in the upcoming season. The programs include "Swim School" and "Parent/Tot Swim School." These sessions will be held at several pools across the county, with fees of $33 for residents and $50 for non-county residents.

One of the highlighted initiatives is the Kinderswim program, which aims to assist Athens-Clarke County children in learning how to swim. This program is specifically designed for 5-year-old children and is offered free of charge. The lessons consist of three 45-minute classes per week for three weeks, totaling nine lessons, and are available at most Department pools, excluding Bishop Park.

Interested individuals can register online at www.accgov.com/myrec. Moreover, scholarships are also available for qualifying Athens-Clarke County residents to ensure inclusivity in the programs. Those seeking more information on scholarships can visit www.accgov.com/scholarship. For further inquiries, individuals can reach out via email at accaquatics@accgov.com or by calling 706-613-3589.
