The Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections approved changes to local voting precinct boundary lines and new locations for some polling sites, effective as of the 2024 Presidential Preference Primary Election set for March 12, 2024.

"Residents’ voting districts, ballots, and candidates did not change as a part of the process – only the location at which some voters will vote in-person on Election Day."

The specific polling location changes are as follows:

- Voters of Precinct 1A will now vote at the Winterville Cultural Center.

- Voters in the new Precinct 2C will vote at the Miriam Moore Community Center.

- Voters of Precinct 4A will now vote at the Athens-Ben Epps Airport Community Room.

- Voters of Precinct 5D will vote at the Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia Office.

- Voters of Precinct 6B will now vote at the ACCGov Cooperative Extension Office.

- Voters of the former Precinct 6D, now part of Precinct 5A, will vote at Oglethorpe Avenue Elementary School.

- Voters of Precinct 7C will now vote at Milledge Avenue Baptist Church.

The Board of Elections conducted thorough evaluations to determine the recommended sites and precincts, ensuring necessary voting space, parking facilities, and more central locations within precincts.

"All registered voters, whether their polling site location and precinct changed or not, should have received a new precinct card in the mail in recent weeks that shows their polling site and voting precinct information."
