5.6% of Clarke County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Clarke County recorded an unemployment rate of 5.6% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 3,675 people out of the 128,195 living in Clarke County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Clarke County has decreased compared to the 5.8% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Clarke County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.5%.

Of the 62,537 people who had a job during that time, 225 were employed in the Armed Forces and 62,312 belonged to the civilian labor force.
