Census Bureau: 74% of people in Barrow County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 82,138 citizens living in Barrow County in 2021, 74% were old enough to vote, equating to 60,810 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 29,576 were male, constituting 48.6%, and 31,234 were female, making up 51.4%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Barrow County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 76.2%.
