The Oconee County Board of Commissioners held its regular meeting on Tuesday, February 7, 2023.
The following actions were taken at the meeting:
- Announcements
- A Town Hall will be held on Tuesday, March 21, at the Oconee Civic Center; the meeting will be open for both in-person and virtual attendance and will focus on master plans for Parks & Recreation
- Denied Rezone #P22-0155 from B-1 PUD (General Business District, Planned Unit Development) and B-2 (Highway Business District) to B-1 (General Business District) and B-2 (Highway Business District) for ± 33.657 acres located at 1291 Virgil Langford Road
- Appointed Adam Layfield as the Hard Labor Creek Reservoir Management Board Alternate
- Heard 2nd Quarter FY23 Financial Presentation
- Approved Memorandum of Agreement with GDOT for Additional Preliminary Engineering of 53 Roundabouts
- Approved the Alcohol License Request for Golden Pantry, 1010 Mars Hill Road, Watkinsville, with Garret Crumpton as the Registered Agent
- Approved Quitclaim Deed for Watkinsville Post Office
- Approved the Award of Sanitary Sewer Modeling RFQ#23-09-004
- Approved the Mid-Year Budget Amendment
- Approved the Renewal of the IPAWS Messaging Agreement with FEMA
- Approved a Change Order for Fire Hydrant Flow Testing & Inspection Program
