Oconee County Commissioners Break Ground for Administrative Building

Oconee County officials held a ceremonial groundbreaking for the new Administrative Building, located at 7635 Macon Highway, on Thursday, June 30. The 44,000-square-foot building is expected to be completed by mid-2023, and will house the non-judicial government functions currently located in the Oconee County Courthouse and the Oconee County Annex, as well as other accessory buildings. Consolidation of these departments and offices in one location will provide for increased efficiency, as well as convenience for customers. The site, located across from Fire Station 1, enjoys multiple road frontages that are easily accessible by residents in all areas of the county.
