COUNTY OF CLARKE: Athens Cultural Affairs Commission Seeks Qualified Candidate for 3-year Volunteer Position by 4/22

County of Clarke issued the following announcement on Apr. 12. 

The Athens Cultural Affairs Commission (ACAC) is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a 3-year volunteer position. 

The mission of the ACAC is to foster the development and enjoyment of performing, visual, cultural, and other arts in the Athens-Clarke County (ACC) community and to make recommendations to the Mayor and Commission in many areas of ACC planning and development.

The ACAC meets on the second Monday of each month at 6:00 PM. Additional committee work is conducted between these meetings. Applicants must be Athens-Clarke County residents and have interest in the arts, public administration, community engagement, outreach, grant writing, and/or arts education and arts advocacy. 

The deadline for receiving applications is April 22, 2022 at 5:00 PM. The ACAC will offer invitations to selected applicants for brief interviews. After making a final selection, a recommendation for the appointment will be sent from the ACAC to the Mayor and Commission. The volunteer term will begin in May.
