County of Clarke issued the following announcement on Aug. 23.
The Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a qualified organization to operate a sanctioned homeless encampment. The sanctioned encampment will operate as a low-barrier supervised encampment that will provide immediate and easy access to a safe, sanitary, and legal place for individuals (18 years and older) experiencing homelessness to stay while pursuing permanent housing.
Deadline: All proposals must be submitted by 4:00 PM on Wednesday, September 22, 2021.
