The Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25) Mayor’s Recommended Budget for the Athens-Clarke County Unified Government (ACCGov) has been submitted to the Commission for review. The budget, totaling $193.6 million for FY25, is balanced and represents a 3.7% increase from the FY24 level.According to the Mayor’s Recommended Budget, the proposed millage rate for property tax year 2024 will remain at 12.45, with each mill producing $1 of taxes for every $1,000 of assessed property value.
