St. Mary’s Orthopedic Specialists will move into a larger office at 658 N. Chase St., Suite 201, Athens, on June 8 to accommodate the practice’s growth, according to a May 29 announcement.

The practice is currently located at 2740 Daniells Bridge Road, Suite 301, Athens. The relocation aims to provide additional space for future expansion as the patient base increases.

St. Mary’s Orthopedic Specialists is led by Dr. Randy Lavender, Jr., who joined St. Mary’s Medical Group in December 2025, and Dr. David Woodbury, who joined in March 2026. Together, they bring more than 34 years of experience in orthopedic sports medicine, adult reconstruction, hip and knee replacement, and robotic procedures.

Dr. Lavender and Dr. Woodbury are now accepting new patients with some next-day appointments available; however, some insurance plans may require a physician referral for appointments. As part of St. Mary’s Medical Group, the practice accepts most major insurance plans as well as Medicare.

Patients can schedule new appointments by calling (706) 389-3590 or find more information by contacting the office or visiting www.stmarys-health.org.
