Rep. Andrew Clyde, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Georgia’s 9th District, shared a series of posts on various legislative issues on March 31, 2025, via his social media account. Clyde’s messaging touches on topics ranging from voter registration requirements to Second Amendment rights and a significant change in Washington D.C.’s landscape.

In a post dated March 31, 2025, Clyde expressed support for requiring proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote. He stated, “Requiring proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote is a NO BRAINER. This week, the House will vote on the SAVE Act to do just that.”

Another statement on the same date focused on the Biden-Harris Administration’s policies regarding firearms. Clyde criticized the administration by claiming they “weaponized the draconian NFA to turn law-abiding Americans—including disabled veterans—with pistol-braced firearms into criminals.” He mentioned the SHORT Act as a “permanent solution to end this tyranny” and urged Congress to “protect our #2A rights.”

Clyde also commented on the removal of Black Lives Matter Plaza through legislation he introduced earlier. In his tweet, Clyde celebrated the change, saying, “Less than one month ago, I introduced legislation to force D.C. to remove Black Lives Matter Plaza. Today, BLM Plaza is officially GONE. We’re making our nation’s capital GREAT again! “
