Quiet Oaks Health Care Center earned an overall rating of 2 out of 5 in the first quarter of 2026, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) reported. This places it below the Georgia average of 2.7 for nursing homes.

The facility provided 61 beds during the period, which is 50 fewer than the statewide average as of the first quarter of 2026. It served an average of 59.2 residents over that time.

During the first quarter of 2026, Quiet Oaks Health Care Center did not receive any fines or penalties.

U.S. Census Bureau estimates show the nation’s older adult population is rising as younger groups decrease. Americans age 65 and up increased by 13% from 2020 to 2024, while those under 18 saw a 1.7% drop. The elderly population in the United States has surged over the last 100 years, expanding from 4.9 million in 1920 to more than 61 million in 2024.

A study from 2021 indicates that almost half of this demographic—about 28 million people—may need long-term care and support. The research also notes that more than a third could eventually require nursing home care.

“Living a long life is something that many of us want and could get,” said Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance. “But when we live a long life, the chances of us needing long-term care increase exponentially. But when you need that type of care, there are limited options.”
