Public Information Sessions for 2023 Comprehensive Plan

The Athens-Clarke County Planning Department has released a draft of the 2023 Comprehensive Plan for Athens-Clarke County for public review and comment.  The public is invited to review the plan document posted on the Planning Department’s website: https://accgov.com/9780/Updates-to-the-Comprehensive-Plan.

A series of public informational sessions regarding the 2023 Comprehensive Plan hosted by Planning Department staff have been scheduled for the following dates, times, and locations.

  • Monday Dec. 12, 5:30 – 7:00 PM; ACC Fire Station #4 (900 Oglethorpe Avenue)
  • Tuesday Dec. 13, 5:30 – 7:00 PM; ACC Fire Station #2 (265 Cleveland Road)
  • Thursday Dec. 15, 5:30 – 7:00 PM; ACC Fire Station #7 (2350 Barnett Shoals Road)
  • Saturday Dec. 17, 10:00 AM – Noon; ACC Fire Station #3 (1198 South Milledge Avenue)
  • Monday Dec. 19, 5:30 – 7:00 PM; ACC Fire Station #9 (1650 Danielsville Road)

Planning Staff will present at these sessions to provide information regarding the plan document and process, and to answer questions.   Comments will be received during those sessions, and public comment can also be submitted by emailing the Planning Department at planning@accgov.com, and using “2023 Comprehensive Plan” in the subject line.  A paper copy of the 2023 Comprehensive Plan draft is available for review in the offices of the Athens-Clarke County Planning Department, 120 W.
