Middle and High School District Honor Bands

Three Prince Avenue middle school band students were recently named to the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) District 14 Middle School Honor Band.  Nate Murray, Koen Hewett, and Jack Bunnell will perform with the honor band at Riverside Military Academy on February 4th.

High school students Gracie Cochran, Jenifer Dunn, Preston Mitchell, Meredith Hale, and Carly Land were named to the GMEA High School District 14 Honor Band and will perform at Jefferson High School on February 11th.

All-State Band

Prince Avenue Christian School sophomores Jenifer Dunn and Preston Mitchell have been named to the 2023 Georgia All-State Band. Jennifer plays the flute, and Preston plays the trumpet.  They will rehearse and perform with the prestigious All-State Band March 2-4 at the Athens Classic Center.

Freshman Carly Land, who plays the euphonium, has been named an alternate and will participate if an opening is available.

Congratulations to these band students for their excellence in fine arts.
